September 12 - Interview with Antonis Kotzias
as seen on CGFocus.com
Recently we got the opportunity to talk to an amazing artist, currently working in Athens Greece, Antonis Kotzias. We were on the web looking around at sites and what caught my eye was the Ignition Entertainment logo (I am a big PSP Mercury Fan). I got looking around more and saw more and more great work.
Not only is he a 3D Artist, he is also a musician. Antonis is the lead singer of Horrified, a death metal band that he started back in 1989.

NewTek to Launch 8.5
As we all wait for LightWave 8.5's release here is a small feature list.
This included substantial repurposing of code and changes in the structure and conventions used for source and documentation. A new development toolkit was adopted and implemented. For the 8.5 release, the older internal drawing routines were replaced with a new OpenGL system that supports the OpenGL 2 standard and uses the functions now available in hardware to provide much faster performance. Initial support for hardware shaders has also been implemented, to provide an accurate real-time preview of many elements of texture and lighting. Many of these functions will depend on having newer, appropriate video cards.
Jump Tool Tutorial
This tutorial will introduce you to the Jump tool. This tool can't be foundon the interface so many users are unaware of this powerful feature.
